Our incredible off road driving and activity centre here at Thirsk is quite simply amazing. It’s the perfect venue for you to experience the many adrenalin fuelled activities we have to offer. Set in the lower Hambleton hills, our “Playground” takes the form of four distinct areas:
Quad Challenge Zone
This is 4 acres of amazing terrain Hills, Humps axle deep mud fast flowing streams, the close proximity of water adds to the excitement, the potential for an early bath is never too far away! Riders will receive confidence building guidance from our team and everyone will be amazed how their development allows them to really get the most from the bike and rise to the challenge of the Yorkshire 4x4 Quad Zone!!
Quad Trek Trails
With the challenge zone under your belt, those of you who take on the 2 Hour trek are in for a real treat ! You will be riding some of the most challenging terrain in the north of England, (we aren’t just in the middle of Yorkshire because it’s pretty). Confidence, commitment and technique will be required in equal parts if you are to negotiate the deep gullies and moorland bogs! As for the hills, some say some bravery is a must ! We like to think respect for gravity and sound technique are more important, either way prepare for an adrenalin rush not to be forgotten!
Off Road Adventure course
The hub of our venue is set on the edge of the North Yorkshire moors national park and is 50 acres of the most challenging terrain you will find anywhere. We really do have it all from gentle slopes to almost impossible ascents and decents. There are natural springs and streams constantly feeding bogs, wet holes and deep water crossings. Our venue can accommodate the beginner and expert alike, there are areas which encourage good driver technique and areas that quite simply demand it! A world class driving venue all right here in Yorkshire 4x4 country!!!
Clay Pigeon Shooting ground
The shooting ground here at Yorkshire 4x4 in Thirsk has evolved over many years and provides a real variety of birds for everyone to test their skills. Beginners and experts flock here to take on the many challenging targets and enjoy the beautiful surrounding’s.
